This video really inspired me to write my own “bucket-list” and so I did. Amazingly, my sense of ADVENTURE and THRILL almost shot up by 10 times the moment I did this and my mind began thinking of ways how I can do the incredible things I wrote down – like sky-diving!
Write your own list my friend and begin doing the things that you’ve always said “I’ll do that once in my lifetime” and put it off. The time is now because tomorrow might just never come. So live fully, live now!
In the past few months, in an effort to get as much feedback as I could from more experienced business people and trainers, I have accidentally forgotten to take their advice with “a pinch of salt” and have allowed them to define me by the mistakes I’ve made.
Which is why this video really got to me. It reminded me of the following :
“No one will deny me. No one will define me and no one will tell me who and what I am and can be. BELIEF WILL CHANGE MY WORLD. It has moved continents. It has moved countries. It has put Man on the moon. And it will carry me through this battle. WHO AM I?! I AM A CHAMPION!”
Began my day by watching a great movie called Coach Carter. If it’s one thing I learnt, success is about FUNDAMENTALS. It’s not about looking for the easiest or fastest way to get there. It’s about getting back to basics and DOING the simple things you need to do to make your vision a reality! If it takes 10,000 pushups, will you do it?
The most important lesson I learnt is that things come too easily too us sometimes and so we’re not hungry for an opportunity to win when it comes.
In the movie Coach Carter said something to the effect of, “Being on the basketball team is a privilege” and not an entitlement.
***BEING ON STAGE IS A PRIVILEGE***
The image that was permanently burnt into my mind was when one of the boys, Crews had to do 10,000 suicides and 5,000 pushups in order to get into the team after he disrespected Coach Carter….
And he did it and NEVER complained.
That’s the kind of desire that I’m inspired with now – to be willing to do WHATEVER it takes to get what I want.
“What’s it going to take for me to get on the team, Sir?” were the words that reverberated through my mind.
“I’d do anything. Just tell me and I’ll do it!”.
The other thing that tugged at my heartstrings was when he read out the “Powerful Beyond Measure” speech that I’ll embed below.
Remember this, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”
“If you don’t have a plan for yourself, you’ll be a part of someone else’s plans.” When deciding on opportunities, see how well it fits with your plan. Don’t see how you can fit that plan into your life because you’ll end up doing something for other people’s reasons. Do things for YOUR reasons and to fuel YOUR VISION.
I ran up, got the crowd pumped up and then, this was what happened :
Biggest Lessons of the Day :
1) Take some time grounding the presentation
It seems to me that the presenters who sold the most took a whole 30 minutes to create rapport with the audience. They used social proof that are examples of the results that the clients want to create…
And they used stories that engage the audience because it’s THEIR story. The moment they’ve grounded this fully, then the content can start.
2) Content = Value
My uncle told me something that created a paradigm shift for me.
He said,”This is a sales presentation!”
I said, “But people paid to get into this seminar… I feel like I’m cheating them if I don’t give them value now.”
“How much value can you give in 1hr 30 minutes?!” he asked me.
“That’s true…” I thought to myself.
He said, “You want to give so much value now that you miss out on creating a desire for them to get into your program and IRONICALLY you end up not giving them more value you have for them that’s only available in your program.”
“I never thought about it that way…” I said.
I guess, this is one of the ways my limiting beliefs popped up. You know how you’d go to events and they just pitch you their programs.
I call them “pitch-fests” but now I know WHY they do that. They can only help me so much in 1hr 30 minutes. They’ll be able to help me more if I join their program… so their job is to convince me that YES they can help me.
Ironically, I wasn’t against people selling to me at seminars UNTIL the same uncle who created this paradigm shift for me told me wayyy back in 2007 that it’s all a pitch-fest.
Looks like he helped me clean up the mess HE started lol
$37,600 lesson for me… Very expensive but much worth it because it has taught me the importance of giving a sales presentation – HOW MUCH CAN I GIVE IN 1.5 HOURS! They MUST take the next step with me to create a significant impact on their lives… because I can show them the way!

The Inner Champ & The Inner Coach
As you may know, every champion out there began from ground zero.
Every champion began as an undisciplined “kid” or what I call The Inner Chump.
What turns The Inner Chump into The Inner Champ is The Inner Coach.
The Inner Coach is the Master.
He is disciplined.
He is strong.
He leads the balanced and perfect life you dream of.
How To Use This Principle
1) Recognize The Inner Chump. You know those small little voices that tell you to quit. You know… the one that brings you down. That’s probably your Inner Chump.
2) Understand That The Inner Chump Will Become The Inner Champ. While the Inner Chump is still undisciplined right now, it will become the Champ it is with the help of the Inner Coach.
3) The Inner Coach Will Do Whatever It Takes To Get The Inner Champ To Be The Champ He Is. If you’re like me, you have another voice that encourages you. You know… the one that is idealistic and gives you hope when there doesn’t seem to be any way out. That’s your Inner Coach.
4) Stop Thinking And MOVE! My Inner Coach will shout at the Inner Chump and then I’ll STOP thinking so that I don’t talk myself out of it and PHYSICALLY MOVE myself to what needs to be done in order to be the Champion I am.
This is how you become the CHAMPION you are… Champ ;)
Today, I discovered the wisdom of The Sales Funnel.
One of our projects involves a high-end program that costs a few thousand dollars.
While we’re doing very well and have made over $40,000 in sales in under a month, we realized that something was not right when we looked at our conversion rates.
We were only converting at 12% and as we were asking ourselves how we could improve it, we realized a bigger problem.
What happened to some of the highly qualified leads that do not convert?
We just let them go?
NO! Of course we don’t! These people NEED our programs but they just can’t afford the high-end ones.
Hence, what we did was to develop a couple of low-end programs in order to funnel everyone into our system so that it developed them gradually and we can develop a bigger customer base that we can build a relationship with.
The biggest lesson here is not to only serve the higher end customers since you can serve the lower end ones because it will impact more people and make more money! =)
